Alexandre Lacazette spotted in Barcelona amid transfer speculation

The Frenchman has been strongly linked with a move to the Barcelona and he admits that his representatives would speak to Arsenal at the end of the season.

‘For me, I just think about the final, then after we will see with the club,’ said Lacazette. ‘If the club is really happy with me and I’m happy, I will stay. In France, they say 27, 28 is one of the best ages in your career.’

Barcelona has eyes on Manchester United star Marcus Rashford but the England international would cost in excess of £100million and Lacazette is considered a more viable option.

Arsenal missed entry into the Champions League on wednesday’s Europa League final clash against Chelsea after their 4-1 defeat which set to have a knock-on effect for Unai Emery and his squad.

The Spaniard’s set to have a budget of just £45m and he’s admitted that a number of Arsenal players could now leave. And, perhaps mischievously, Spanish outlet Sport are reporting that Lacazette was spotted in Barcelona city centre on Friday.

It’s stated that Lacazette may simply be enjoying the start of his summer holidays, the news will likely worry Arsenal supporters who are desperate to keep hold of their Player of the Year.

Barcelona are having second thoughts over a move for Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann as he’d cost in the region of £120m. Lacazette signed for Arsenal two years ago for a fee of around £46m and the Gunners can expect to make a modest profit.
