Man Utd: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer demands FOUR signings as Ed Woodward makes decision

The Red Devils are expected to splash the cash at the end of the season.

Manchester United are craving to challenge for the Premier League title next season, with Solskjaer’s men currently steps behind Manchester City and Liverpool.

The Red Devils were given a fresh reminder how they cannot compete with Europe’s top clubs in the Champions League at Barcelona on Tuesday evening.

Barcelona won 3-0 at the Nou Camp - 4-0 on aggregate - to knock United out of the Champions League at the quarter-final stage.

And according to the Daily Mirror, United are ready to spend this summer as the club plots a squad overhaul.

Solskjaer will be handed around £250m this summer - and the United boss has demanded at least four singings.

Not only has Solskjaer asked for signings, the Norwegian has also urged the club to get rid of the deadwood.

The Mirror add that United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is fully behind Solskjaer and he’ll back his manager in the transfer window.

Jadon Sancho, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Matthijs De Ligt and Aaron Wan-Bissaka top United’s summer wishlist.

Borussia Dortmund winger Sancho and Chelsea youngster Hudson-Odoi would add a much-needed attacking threat to Solskjaer’s squad.

De Ligt and Wan-Bissaka, on the other hand, are seen as the perfect defensive additions at Old Trafford.

The Ajax and Crystal Palace stars have impressed this season, with De Ligt guiding the Dutch giants into the Champions League semi-finals this week.

A number of players will have to leave Old Trafford this summer to free up space for new signings.

Alexis Sanchez, Antonio Valencia, Matteo Darmian, Marcos Rojo, Ander Herrera and Juan Mata will all leave United.

United have a huge couple of weeks coming up, with the Red Devils hoping to finish in the top four to secure Champions League football.

Solskjaer’s men face Everton on Sunday in the Premier League before hosting Manchester City next Wednesday.

United will then turn their attention to their home clash with Chelsea in a game that will have huge ramifications on who finishes in the top four.
