Chelsea ready to pay £142m for Hazard’s replacement

Chelsea are ready to sign Barcelona ace, Philippe Coutinho for £142million as Eden Hazard’s replacement at Stamford Bridge.

Philippe Coutinho had drawn interests from Man United and Chelsea over the past few months.

The midfielder has already told his Brazil teammates that he is considering leaving Ernesto Valverde’s side this summer.

According to Sport, Chelsea are planning to use the transfer fee they received from Hazard, who is set to join Real Madrid at the end of the season, to fund a move for Coutinho once their transfer ban is delayed this summer.

Spanish newspaper also claimed that Coutinho would welcome the chance to play for the Blues as he would like to link up with the likes of Willian, David Luiz, as well as Brazil-born duo, Jorginho and Emerson Palmieri at the West London club.
